What would you tell other parents about the four month sleep regression?

Hello all - started this thread over on parenting but will probably get more answers here. I'm thinking of writing an article about the four month sleep regression for new parents/parents-to-be in our local NCT newsletter but short on inspiration.

What would you tell a new parent about the four month sleep regression? Any survival tips? And would you mind awfully if I pretended you were a local NCT parent ?

I would say if you even notice the four month sleep regression then you are blessed.

I'd say don't mistake it for a sign of weaning, because shovelling baby rice down them isn't going to solve anything.
Co-sleep for your sanity. If you are lucky enough for them to nap during the day, nap with them.
Stock up on wine and chocolate.
Make sure DP helps out in some way, with either feeding or settling.
Try and go with the flow, I think I've been stressing about lack of naps too much.
It will end... Eventually ( I keep telling myself this 4 weeks in and no sign of improvement yet!)

Agree with Halfbaked.

Also, if whatever you were doing beforehand was working for you - be it routine, no routine, feeding etc, then don't change it. It will make No Difference. And then you spend ages afterwards trying to get back to it.

Repeat mantra 'this too shall pass'

Agree with Berry and Half - just battle through it repeating "it will end soon"

I am still saying this and DD is 25 weeks, but last 2 nights have seen slight improvement hope

Sleep whenever you can, and co-sleep for sanity, don't think solids are the answer.

If you notice your baby has 4 month sleep regression you're one of the lucky ones.

At least that means they have slept through at some point in the first four months.
