Age for pillow and duvet?

I'm attemtping to move my 11 month old into her own bed - she currently sleeps in with me and hogs the whole pillow and duvet. When I move her into her own bed can I just give her own duvet and pillow? Or is there a 'safe age' to do this? Thanks

Grobag do a duvet for cotbed which zips onto a fitted sheet. I am using this for my son now, at nearly 3, but some parents start duvets younger. I'm not sure of the current guidance - sorry!

Here.

I think most pillows are advised for 12 months plus, but I have one which is made out of memory foam and is suitable from birth. A lot safer than a traditional pillow, and very comfy. I got mine on ebay, search for Clevamama baby pillow.

Duvets are OK from 12 months but I would personally use a grobag for a while yet, your dd will probably kick the duvet off without you there to anchor it!

I kept my DS in a grobag until he was two - stopped him climbing out of his cot :o

I don't think you need a pillow for her - a big cuddly will probably do the same job

I use a grobag as long as I can. I think at least 2 and half. It stops them climbing out of the cot.

I tend to wait till about two before I give them a pillow.

I introduce pillows and duvet for daytime naps only to start with, then eventually change to night time too.

I think I did duvets just before I changed from cot to bed too...

thanks - i probably should have said that she's going into a toddler bed. She currently naps there and climbs out and comes to get me when she wakes up. So a gro bag isn't an option as she would try and climb down and probably hurt herself. I like the look of the grobag duvet, might be a compromise
