Gro bags?

Hi,

I have been given various Gro bags and I want to use them as my dd is very wriggly.. But I am to nervous because she seems to wiggle down inside and I am scared she'll suffocate. She is now 9 weeks and about 9lbs and I have three different 0-6months bags but all seem too roomy round the armpit and look like she'll slip down in no time.

Amy recommendations for good bags?

Thanks

They should be adjustable at the shoulder (or is it the armpit?) so she can't wriggle down them.

Have you got the proper Gro-Bags, our ones seemed to fit the dc's quite well.

i think they reccomend that they are 10lbs before they start using them. Once they are in them though, they are magic. Our DD loves them and at 13 months, now moves all around her cot, but doesn't wake up as she's always warm enough.

A proper grobag should have poppers under the armpit and they recommend from 7lbs. DS1 and 2 use/d them. Brilliant.

I seem to recall my boys being about 3 months when they swapped from swaddling to Gro-Bags.

As already mentioned - they are brilliant. My 2 yr old still uses one and will do until I am ready for him to be moved from a cot to a bed.

A simple but divine invention. I am not sure on other types of bag but my Gro-Bags ( from the original company) aren't adjustable but the space around the arms is minimal but not restrictive.

The instructions on ours said not to use them if her head could slip down inside. Luckily we have an enormous headed baby Blush

You can get smaller ones - I can't remember where from though (possible merino kids?)

there should be ones with poppers under the arms. But if the head can fit through, then no don't use.

Boots brand ones have poppers under the arms, my DD is 3 weeks old, screams when swaddled and kicks off all blankets so I was very grateful to find one small enough for her!

Oh brilliant, I will check out boots, thanks :-)

Also, the Mamas and Papas ones (0-6 mths I think) have poppers at the shoulder which seem to keep my DD in tightly. She certainly doesn't look like she's able to/about to slip down. She is almost 11 weeks and about 12lbs btw.

Hope that helps and good luck!
