3 month old won't nap anywhere but on me. Help!

And it's starting to drive me crazy as I can't get anything done during the day.

Sure, it's nice to have some computer time, or reading time, but my back starts to hurt after a while, and I'd like to get some housework done!

She will fall asleep in the sling too, but there's still only so much you can do without bending over! (And then she wakes up when I sit down to relax! Oh dear.)

I will wait until she's well asleep, then try to put her down. She will invariably wake up 2 minutes later. IS there anything I can do to start teaching her to nap on her own? She sleeps on her own (in co-sleeper) at night for a 5-6 hour stretch.

The only solution we've found is to let her sleep on the pillow she fell asleep on (if feeding) but that's not good from a SIDS POV.

Anyone have helpful hints?

Have you tried putting her down when she's awake, well swaddled/wrapped so that she feels secure & safe? Let her look at you as she drifts off and then, because she's not moved, she'll be less likely to wake up. Does she fall asleep in her pram? That's another way to get them used to not sleeping on you.

I've just read the sleep bit of Secrets of the Baby Whisperer, which a friend gave me, and yeah, the bit about putting her down awake makes sense. (There is so much bollocks in that book, however. I felt like throwing it across the room!)

I usually swaddle, and yes, she'll fall asleep in her pram, but to be honest I haven't used it in months. I prefer carriers. :)

I'm convinced I gave birth to something that was made of Kryptonite... well it was small but it was bloody heavy. I used to envy people that could carry their child around easily without wheezing. :) Logic would say that if you use carriers, that's where she'll sleep. If you don't want her to go to sleep on you all the time, you might have to ditch the carrier for a while.

DD was like this (but not in a sling). She will now fall asleep in her buggy if it is rocked vigorously for 5 min. I wait until she is tired, then put a blanket or muslin over the buggy so that she isn't distracted and rock. It works a treat for me.

I had one a bit like that!
Can't say I managed to properly teach her to go to sleep unaided until she was 2, but she was a tricksy madam.

Could you try a back carry? Possible in a woven wrap, mei tai or soft structured carrier.

Jiggling in the buggy / pram could work.

Could you try feeding her lying by the co-sleeper so that she has her sleep in there?

Some seem to be more put-downable than others. My friend's baby I can put down and her crying doesn't escalate, so I can soothe her to sleep as she's lying down. Mine wouldn't have it at all, and would yell as soon as I put her down.

Hope you try something that works - good luck!!
