Try as I may I can't get my DD to nap in tha day without carrying her around in the baby bjorn-and only then outside. Which is not very nice when its tipping it down with rain. Also two 1-2 hr walks a day are killing me and my back.

I've tried rocking, walking in the house, dark rooms, white noise, her mobile, co-sleeping in the day, putting her down when she drifts off to sleep during a feed etc none work. If she is in the pram or push chair she screams. I've left her for 10 minutes to cry (as instructed by the health visitor) and she just escalates.

If I don't walk her to sleep then she wont sleep all day just cries or feeds continuously until deb time.

Bed time starts at 6.15-play with nappy off, bath, dark room for feed. She is normally asleep by 7.30-8.30. Wakes twice in the night for a feed and gets up at 7-8am ish. So nights good.

She's breast fed.

Please help. Its not good for her not to sleep but I don't know what I'm doing wrong.

I sometimes get my DS to sleep in a baby carrier while bouncing on a gym ball. Might still be bad for your back if it works but at least it would be inside. Will she stay asleep on you if she falls asleep after a feed if you don't put her down? Again, not ideal maybe but at least it would be less tiring for you. I sometimes manage this and if my DS stirs I let him suck my little finger and he goes back to sleep.
Maybe she needs more naps as well - my DS (same age) is napping 4 times a day and has the first one an hour after waking. How soon do you try and put her down? I think if they've been awake for 2 hours it's good to try and help them nap.
I've had lots of problems with this (and he's not great at going down at night either) and these suggestions might lead to bad habits but since I've tried to get him to nap any way I can I've started to sometimes to be able to put him down more easily. Hope you manage to get her to nap!
