Will the baby still bellow herself to sleep when she moves into her sister's room?

I'm thinking about moving DD2 (19 months) into her big sister's bedroom (she's 5), but I've got one main worry which is that DD2 tends to cry/ bellow/ scream herself to sleep most nights and get herself back to sleep maybe once in the night by the same means.
I've never got to the bottom of why she does this but of course when I'm there she stops, so I'm thinking that moving her into DD1's bedroom may be the magical solution.
Am I totally deluded?

You may find DD1 can sleep through it. Siblings can often ignore each other in their sleep. On the other hand, it could be a disaster, with DD1 getting broken sleep as well. You won't know until you try.

Probably - but to be honest, DS1 just sleeps through DS2's bellows most of the time, unless its very protracted (if it is, I go in calm DS2 down and he goes to sleep and DS1 does too).

In my optimism I was thinking that big sister being there would equal baby going to sleep without a whimper, safe in the knowledge that she's got company.

It'll go one of three ways:
1 - bellowing stops
2 - older child sleeps through bellowing - they often do.
3 - older child wakes up and you have to change them round again.

Won't know 'til you try! Good luck.

Give it a bash - you won't know till you try!

5-yo DD2 woke up with a nightmare last night - woke th whole house. By the time DH got through to her, 2.5-yo DD3 had got into DD2's bed, and was giving her a snuggle to make her feel better Smile
