Whats happened?? 6 month old waking in night

Hi,

I thought the sleep regression was supposed to be at 4 months not six.

I don't know whts happened but every since xmas DS has not been able to slep for longer than 2 hours at night. This morning he sent two hours rolling on and off the boob and smacking me in the face...

He's not hungry (as I can get him to resettle in his cot with white noise) and I dont think he's teething as he doesn't seem bothered during the day, but this is leaving me with a very tired grumpy baby during the day who needs a nap every 1.5 hours.

I hate seeing him like this as he's just not himself, and I can't function properly either. DH is starting a new job this week so I'm going to be doing all the night wakings so can't get any relief.

Has anyone els been through this? What did you do?

P.S. I do feed him two or three times during the night but he's waking up in between.

Growth spurt.

Babies sleep is unpredictable. At 6 months is it normal to be waking still.

This happened to me until I introduced a fairly ribsticking meal post-bathtime. In our case it was baby rice mixed with mashed banana and followed by milk and he would sleep for hours after that. On the odd occasion where we had run out of bananas, true to form, he would wake up much morefrequently. I attribute the difference to bananas providing slow-release energy and taking longer to digest than milk.

Same op! It's driving me mad and now it seems he won't really resettle.
Tonight thanks to Chil1234 banana porridge is what he will be having.
I don't really want to introduce a bedtime bath but if something doesn't get sorted soon a lavender and camomile bath is what he will be having. I am not actually opposed to bathing just sorting dinner and seeing dp, there is not enough time in the day.

How is it going op?

Its still shit. Sad

He's not having puree at dinner he's doing BLW. I do give him puree for lunch which he gobbles down, maybe the mix and match isn't working...

He is eating bits of dinner though, some chicken the other day and some cheese last night.
