Ok I have had to spend some time, a few months, with family, away from hubby and home. My 7 month old has not slept through for the last 6 weeks!...despite sleeping from 8 to 8 from around 9 weeks old.

Baby has gone from excellent sleeper to waking 2/3 times a night..... except when I take baby in bed with me...then we both sleep fine, without a peep.

I don't mind co sleeping so much, but I do not want to set it up as a pattern. When I go back with hubby, he and I really will be against this. I dont mind for a few months, but I do not want baby in bed with us for 2 more years (as some of our co sleeping friends have)...

my question is if you co sleep can you then go back to baby in the cot in their own room? how?

Don't worry about the unknown. Concentrate on the here and now and getting lots of sleep. Children don't go to university co-sleeping.

I co-slept with both of mine, it was the only way we could all get some sleep. Both were in their own rooms by about 15 months.

As you are their for her now, she will learn that you'll be there for her and will be more content in the long run [hsmile]
