how long should one year old be able to sleep without feed

I have a one year old boy. And I have always given him a breastfeed in the night when he wakes. We were down to one feed at about 5 am. But this started to not be enough to settle him. As this was the only breastfeed he was getting I think I was producing less and less milk.

He started to fall back to sleep but wake again an hour later hungry. So we tried giving him a bottle and he went back to sleep til 8.

So it seems he is genuinely hungry.

But I thought babies were supposed to sleep all night at this age.

He has his last bottle of milk at 6.30pm. So perhaps he just can't get past 5 without getting hungry. 10.5 hours is a long time surely to go without any food.

He is really active during the day with lots of really fast crawling, so he maybe just burns lots of energy.

What do you all think? Should I just give him the bottle for now and try and slowly wean him off by watering down the milk.

A one year old should sleep approximately 12 hours at night, with 1 -2 hour naps in day.

Is he getting enough food (especially protein) in the day?sorry I know that seems like an obvious question!
He shouldn't need any milk at night but maybe you could give him a bit more for his tea,or an hour or so after plus a big bedtime feed.

Thanks. I do try to give him plenty protein. I might try to up it a bit.

He is pretty much fed finger foods all the time. As he refuses food from a spoon. Last time we tried he refused. So we gave him the spoon to let him try and he threw it across the kitchen in a rage. Then happily munched on the bits of potato we gave him afterwards!
So he is kind of on baby led weaning. It makes it hard to make sure he is getting a proper meal as sometimes its hard to think of things which are soft enough for him to chew.

Toast fingers and marmite or similar for supper and milk usually knocked my dd out for 12 hours.
