11 week old - Mum craving longer sleep after midnight!

Hi everyone, my DD2 is 11 weeks old today and after breast feeding until 8 weeks - with bottle of formula at last feed - I am now feeding 100% formula. I pretty much fed on demand initally but for the last 3-4 weeks she has fed approximately every 3-4 hours. My issue is that having previously been sleeping from 7.30-8.00 after taking 5-6oz to 11.00-12.00 and then another 4 hour stretch to 3.00-4.00 and generally again to approx 7.00am she is now starting to be unsettled after going down at 8.00ish which after unsuccessful attempts to settle her is resulting in me feeding her - only taking about 1-2oz - at around 9ish but she is then still waking again around 11ish and not sleeping any longer in the next stretch of sleep after that. I know this isn't a horrendous routine by any stretch of the imagination but with a very active 2yr 11month DD1 I am really really craving a more consistent and longer stretch of sleep after midnight-ish! Has anyone got any views/tips - with DD1 I woke her at 10.30-11.00 for a dream feed and gradually she slept longer after this until slept through but haven't done so this time as DD2 has taken longer to get into a routine of settling in the early evening but do you think this might help? Thanks in advance!

She sounds overtired - my DS was like this and it wasn't until we got into a decent nap routine and earlier bedtime (6.30) that he settled down a bit. Looking back, there was a turning point at 12 weeks where he just got a lot worse - I think there's a growth spurt and they become a lot more aware around then.

We didn't bother with a gradual move to an early bedtime - just decided to go for it one night and instead of waking 45 mins after bedtime, he went for two hours which was great for him. This was after looking at his day naps and realising that when he wanted to nap around 6ish, he actually wanted to go to bed!

Thanks Igglybuff, I think you were right as last couple of nights have focused on putting down a little earlier and this has helped. Does anyone have any views on whether introducing a dream feed will help at this stage, she seems to have her body clock tuned in to waking at 11-12 regardless of how much milk/naps has had during the day but at least if her last feed was at 10.30-11.00 I would feel like getting one reasonable stretch of sleep instead of 1 very short one after hit the pillow around 10.00 and then another between 12.30ish and 3.00? I'm in 2 minds as to whether best just to leave as is and eventually will sleep longer than 4 hours from when settles, any views??
