sleeping on her front at nearly 4 months help?

my dd3 has started to roll over to sleep. She's not quite 4 months and everytime I put her on her back again she promptly rolls back on to her front again. She gets quite upset if she can't get on her front. I'mquite worried about it.

Did any of yours do this?

I think when they can roll over themselves then sleeping on tummy is fine. Mine both prefered to sleep on their tummies once they were 4 months. You know just to not to use a pillow and only a firm mattress though.

I think that some people will come on here and say that they woke themselves up in the night to turn their children over, but IMHO, of they can roll, and they want to sleep on their fronts, there's nothing you can do to stop them. I think she'll be fine.

(whispers....lots of babies sleep on their fronts from before that, but nobody talks about it)

My first did. When they roll on their own there is not much you can do about it. Don't worry the guidance are to put them on their back untill they are strong enough to roll on their own. Can she push her head up from the floor too? (I guess she can).
Relax Smile
IF really worried (i.e. you can't sleep) you can put her back on her front when fast asleep, when you go to bed, or buy a monitor, but honestly it is fine.

yes she can push her head up from the floor when on her front and she sleeps on a firm mattress and no pillow. Thank you ladies for putting my mind at rest Smile

DS (5 months) has also been doing this since about 4 months. I used to turn him over and he'd either wake up and get upset, or just roll straight back again. Now I don't bother because in fact he (and I) get a much better night's sleep since he started sleeping on his tummy!
