Winter sleeping bag?

DS (4.5 months) currently sleeps in a cotton babygro and a summer grobag at night. In springtime we added a short sleeved vest under the babygro. I'm just looking at Winter sleeping bags. Do i need one with sleeves? Our flat can get a bit chilly (uninsulated outside walls and 3m high ceilings), so i wonder if he'd get cold without sleeves on his sleeping bag. Obviously we can put him in a long sleeved vest and fleecy babygro, but i'm still not sure.

Can anyone give me some advice?

We live in a cold old house. After trying some slleping bags, i found this merino one www.merinokids.co.uk. They are expensive, but with layers on underneath (long sleeved vest, sleepsuit, extra long sleeve top if really cold!)kept my boy cosy all winter. Because they are wool, they are also cool when it is warm. You can also wash them easily, and they are really nice, with no stupid logos on them!

sleeping bags are supposed to be sleeveless so they don't overheat. If you think he will get chilly then add a long sleeved vest and pyjama top/long sleeved sleepsuit

I agree with Seona, our house is on the chilly side too and that is what I am going to do!

Even at the moment, except when it's really warm, DD has a long sleeved vest under her summer sleeping bag. That way her body doesn't get too hot, but her arms stay warm...
