Necessary Sleeping 'attire'

My DS (10 months) has just recently stopped being cuddled to sleep & is doing well. His routine has been consistant since birth really & from about 2 months we have used sleeping bags. (Putting him in it has become part of his routine & he seems to suddenly go drowsey when we do!)
Anyway, he's now started standing up in the cots when he wakes each morning & I'm really worried he may get tangled up in the bag, fall & hurt himself. I fear if I stop using the bag he'll be up in the night more (as this was the case in the really hot weather when I didn't use the bag.) Any ideas or suggestions? - Is there one with legs? or a sleeping type suit which easily fastens like a bag does over their vest / PJ's?

I abandoned the sleeping bags at around 4/5 mths when DS started rolling and getting them twisted. He would cry, then stop crying when I'd untwisted him and settle, only to roll in sleep, get twisted and cry again!

Since then I've 'layered' depending on the weather. Using a variety of readily available nightwear like: short sleeve/sleeveless vest, cotton sleepsuit and fleece sleepsuit.
E.g. last night he was in a short sleeve vest and a cotton sleepsuit (was 22/23 deg c in his room).

Though will watch thread to see if there are any other suggestions

Thanks Snuggle,
When I don't use the bag though he doesn't seem to "feel" like its sleeping time. He would wake a couple of times a night. Yet with the bag he goes right through.- It's almost like a security / comfort thing.
I wonder how come they make the bags right up to past 2 yrs if other people have the same worry / problem?

I use the bags till they are ready to go into a proper bed. So about 2 and half years old. Never had a problem with twisting or falling over.

Was it the hot weather of the lack of bag that was waking him? Could you do a trial now it's cooler - or have you already?

I'd like something warmer for my DS tbh as I don't like having the heating on at night and if we have another winter like the last it could get a bit chilly in the house.

Maybe someone else will come along with a link to some 'duvet dungerees' or something

cece I tried diff sleeping bags and diff sizes, but DS got all twisty-uppy in them whatever.

I think some babies are just squirmier sleepers. Had to stop co-sleeping at 6mo as his constant moving was waking me up!

Snuggle,
Well, I think it may have been a bit to do with the heat, but its been a similar temp in the bedroom the last few nights (24 deg) & he's gone through with the bag on.
(Lord knows what wakes him, sometimes I wonder if he does it just for a laugh to see how big he can turn the bags under my eyes!)

Love the idea about the duvet dungarees, but DS loves the cool!!!!! (Even in the winter he didn't like having a vest under his cotton sleep suit.)
Maybe they'll do one out of cotton too?????
