10 month old, waking up, is it because of rolling?

my DD has slept through the night from 7pm - 6/7am since she was 8.5 months old, now we are struggling to get her to sleep and she is fighting it all night long. Co-sleeping isn't working and sleeping by her self isn't working either. She is cutting some teeth and she has just learnt how to roll all the way over. When she is in her cot she seems to roll and get stuck on her tummy, which she doesn't like, i feel that this is the reason that she is waking up crying. the teeth don't help, although she has never been upset by teeth coming through before (these are her 5th and 6th ones).
If it is because she has reached a developmental milestone, ie rolling, how long does this last for and what can i do about her cot bed? It's a big bed, but it doesn't seem big enough for her rolling around. I often find her jammed in the end sobbing. She won't have a sheet on her. It's also so hot at the moment i can't imagine that helps either. I'm so worried about her, even day time napping seems to be a problem now for her, as she is roling all over the place and not settling.

My DD went through a stage like this - it was temporary (a couple of weeks of horrid nights). It could have been teeth, but it co-incided with her crawling so I think it could have been developmental

thanks for the reply LTJ, we managed to get better kips during the day today, so hopefully tonight will be better, although getting her off to sleep this evening was a trial! Lets hope she sleeps well tonight.

Hope so too - how did you go? It will pass (repeat as necessary!)

it wasn't too bad at all, once she went down with was around 8ish she went through until 5, so pretty good all round. Did find her in the mornign sqashed int he corner on her tummy mewing.

Oh but it's not the worst thing in the world though, is it? It's very frustrating for them not being able to move as they'd like, but they need to feel that frustration to a certain extent, in order for them to move on...

8 till 5 sounds doable. Not as good as 8 till 7 but I'm sure you'll get back there..!

It's normal and developmental as you have worked out. Couple of weeks max usually. You just do what you can to get through it. It won't last forever.

Walking's next. You'll find her standing up in her cot unable to lie back down and pretty upset about it. Also normal.

When they're working on a milestone, especially the big physical ones that involve controlling new movements/abilities, they actually lose the ability to have settled, good sleep.

Hang on in there. Do what you can to get through it.

Agree with all above posters!

Would just also add that make sure she has the opportunity for plenty of practice in the day as this can also help.
