Just wondered what other people have tried and if people have bothered with cot duvets or gone straight to single duvets?

I wouldn't go with normal duvets as they are way too big and could go over the childs face etc. it's worth it to get a cot duvet imho.

Bought cot one on Ebay and never used it but have used cot-bed duvet for DD, and now DS, for past 4 years and will do so for at least another year until DS really doesn't fit the cot-bed any more

If you want a cheap cot duvet let me know.

It depends how long your little one stays in a cot for. DS1 moved into a bed at 18months and had been using baby sleeping bags until that point so I had no need to buy a cot duvet at all. DS2 (11 months) is in a cot but uses sleeping bags.

ds is 19 months and been in a proper bed for the last 6 months but i found cot duvets a god send, i had a summer and winter and i still use them now for when the kids are sick.

Yes, single duvets are too big and difficult for little ones. Cot-bed duvets are perfect.

AngelDog · 19/07/2010 08:21

I've heard lots of people recommend single duvets - turn sideways and tuck the long ends under the mattress. That way they can't be kicked off.

tegan · 19/07/2010 15:36

i tried the single duvet tucked in trick but ds got really hot an dobviously couldnt kick it off so cot duvet it was

my dd still has a cotbed duvet on her single bed....takes the meaning of a comfort blanket a bit far
