i started a thread a few weeks ago about taking my five year old dd2 with cerebral palsy skiing.
thought i would let you know we found a fabulous adaptive ski instructor, who made dd2's holiday
anyone looking for some help with getting any member of the family with a disability skiing (who has oodles of cash lol - not that we do) should have a look at ski banff - sunshine village and contact their adaptive skiing co-ordinator. his name is jamie and he's worth every penny! (he's also setting up a company to provide adaptive summer activities in the rockies too - what a lovely bloke!)

THANKS madwoman, i posted on your other thread and was wondering how you got on. We are considering N America next winter (DH is Canadian so the idea is we might go for Xmas and go on ski-ing for NY) so this is good to know.

Had a great week in Ste Foy with amazing snow and DD (Down Syndrome) made brilliant progress with her private instructor. So glad you had a good time too x

that's fab! i asked our instructor how he had ended up setting up an adaptive program and he said his sister had down's syndrome. he's currently setting up a not for profit organisation to run summer adaptive activities in the rockies too... what a nice bloke!

dd2 cried when we said goodbye so proud of her! she made it off the magic carpet and onto a few easy greens (with a lot of help, but she did it )

would you go to banff or whistler or somewhere else? it's such a gamble...
