We're planning a ski holiday and I think my DC would enjoy some short ski lessons. Esprit seem to be the only company that provide them for this age. Do any MNers know of any other companies that organise them or are you better off waiting until they're 4?

Thank you for this thread dueinnovember. I have been looking for next year 2009 and 2010 and have been struggling to find a suitable place to go. DS1 will be 5 next Feb and DS2 will be 4 in May - so DS2 won't be old enough for most ski resorts for the next ski season. A few friends have suggested that I 'lied' about his age - but I feel a bit wierd about doing that.
We have looked at Snow Bizz and whilst it looks great for the lessons, I am not keen on it being self catering. What do you do in the evenings stuck in the apartment on your own?
I like the luxury of a chalet. We are awaiting Ski Famille to ring us back. BTW - if you book a private instructor can they still insist that DS2 is 4 before they teach them? I am sure my DS2 will be ready to ski next year. We regularly visit the snow dome and they LOVE ski sunday. That said we are both avid fans. I like Ski famille for the chalets and the nanny. I was put off Ski Espirit for the split lessons i.e. DS1 will be in lessons in the morn and DS2 in the afternoons. We want to spend some time with them too - swimming and doing other stuff and don't want them 'taken off our hands' for the full day.
So thank you for the thoughts. THis has helped me no end.

We go to Saint-Foy (www.saintefoy-tarantaise.com) regularly and it's very child friendly. The ski school there will do private lessons from 3 and school from 4. Our DD has had a few private lessons (she's 4.5) and loved them, and DS will have one when we go again in a few weeks (he'll be 3 that weekend!) I think he'll love it as he loves going round the magic carpet with Dad, but I'm prepared for it to go pear shaped!

Premier Neige run the childcare there and they are fab, and will do babysitting etc even if you don't travel with them.
