Want a last minute five day ski holiday - any companies do this?

Or are they all seven days minimum?

I have a DD 17 who has exams right after the Easter holidays and is anxious so she doesn’t want to be away for a full week and a DD 14 who is desperate for a ski holiday.

I’m thinking 4-5 days in Austria or Scandinavia but no clue who to book with.

Try crystal ski or sun web. Depending on airport you can get 5 day trips (maybe less but I haven’t gone for less than 5).

Package holidays are almost all 7 days, Saturday to Saturday, but these days it is easy enough to organise a short break yourself if you've been skiing a few times before.

Look at Skyscanner for easyjet and Ryanair flights to somewhere like Salzburg, then take public transport to the resort. Airbnb or the Tourist Office websites will give you some accommodation options.

Be aware that the season is coming to an end in Austria - for example, Saalbach will close on 6th April.

For Scandinavian resorts look at SkiStar, a company that operates many of the resorts in Norway and Sweden and where the ski season lasts until mid-April. As for Austria, look at Skyscanner for flights to Oslo or other airports and use public transport for the final transfer to the resort.

My friend says heidi are good for this sort of thing. Not sure they are cheap though!

MujeresLibres · 16/03/2026 23:54

Seconding Heidi, had a great short skiing break this year with them.

mismomary · 17/03/2026 07:16

Oh yes I will try Heidi too, thanks!

Weski is what you want, you can search for your exact requirements and they’ll build the holiday for you, some bargains on there too

Skiweekender do either 3 or 4 night breaks, but unfortunately the resorts they are close to La Clusaz and Le Grand Bornand are low so not snow sure for Easter.
Or try Pilaski - the lady Carole who runs it might be able to sort something as Turin is closest airport but she can also arrange transfers from Milan Malpensa. It’s a high resort so should still have snow then.

You could also go independently. I recently flew to Marseilles, got a hire car, air b&b or booking.com, and had .3 days in Les Orres. Fantastic!

ISpyNoPlumPie · 17/03/2026 16:58

Heidi (as well!) or ski weekends. Adventureswiththewests on instagram might also be helpful for ideas. The detail all their holidays - who they booked with, how much it cost. This year they have been doing lots of short breaks I think.

cupfinalchaos · 17/03/2026 17:07

We’ve just booked Courchevel last minute. Austria’s had an amazing dump of snow recently but didn’t want a long transfer. Why don’t you google and book direct?

Thanks so much for all your posts. Ok day off tomorrow so will be seriously investigating then. I have been on skiing holidays for over forty years but never booked independently. Weird hang up! I’ve heard the snow is great and very jealous of friends who are going. But it feels very wrong to plead with yr12 child to ignore revision for a few days and come on holiday!

She attempted to revise on holiday last year (before GCSEs) and it 💯 didn’t happen. Despite a boot bag full of books.

A few others have mentioned Heidi, and I'd agree.
