Where to go?

We usually go to Switzerland in Feb half term.
Next year 2 of our kids will be elsewhere, so it's just me, DH and 17 yr old.
Teen snowboards, we ski, and our usual place isn't great for boarding so we'd like to try somewhere else.

But where? Too many options. Help please MN.

Europe (pref not France or Switzerland)
Good for boarding
Plenty of nice red runs with some blacks
Probably self catering with 2 bedrooms but open to catered if it works.
Short walk to the slopes or cable car/lift
Snow sure
Pretty views
Not fussed about apres ski but a restaurant or two would be good
Not a big party resort
Happy to drive, train or fly.
Ideally under £1500 pp

My gut is saying Austria or Italy but I don't know where to start as they both have so many places.

Tell me where you go that fits the above, how you get there and recommend accommodation.

Thank you

Mayhofen and Lech have both been very good for my boarding partner.
Good size ski areas and a mix of accommodation.
Mayhofen had a gondola to the ski slopes, but we hired lockers at the top so it was nice leaving the kit and enjoying a coffee or beer on the way back.
Lech was a nice walk through the village to the lifts.

I like Avoriaz. Great runs, great accommodation ski in/ski out from most if not all accommodation. Easy to drive. We do it in a day but we live fairly near the tunnel.

We got a last minute deal a couple of years back to Ellmau. You could travel round a wide area. Our ski buddy is a boarder and I don’t recall him having too many difficulties getting around (not loads of scooting etc). We didn’t explore too much of the villages in the evening as we aren’t big on bars and nightlife but would definitely recommend for food on the mountain (and food in general) being plentiful and not Swiss prices (we usually ski Switzerland)

Thank you, it's nice to have recommendations. I'll check out all of these places.

We’ve just got back from Scheffau (part of the SkiWelt area with Ellmau). Lots of reds, the occasional black. Disclaimer: we are skiers, not boarders, but I don’t recall there being many long flat drags which I know can be a nightmare for boarders. Also the vast majority of lifts are chairs or gondolas. Scheffau is definitely not a party resort, but not many restaurants for eating out - there’s basically 4 hotels and that’s it. Ellmau might have more. Both are an hour or so from Innsbruck and Salzburg airports or 20 minutes ish from Wörgl train station (I can give you chapter and verse on how to get there by train!)

We’ve also stayed in Champoluc in Italy, again another relatively quiet resort but has more restaurants. It’s about 90 minutes from Turin.

Italy, the Via Lattea ski area. Sestriere is def not a party resort and has good access via a gondola to Sauze and Sansicario which have in my opinion better skiing.
Sauze has a reputation as a party resort, but we just stayed in our hotel and didn't party
Lots of boarders and skiers. One or two long schuss but these are easily avoided.
