Hi, we have narrowed down our search to La Rosiere (thank you for your advice). I’ve spent ages looking at piste and resort maps trying to figure out the best location for accommodation. Can anyone recommend and genuinely ski in/ski out accommodation very close to club Piou piou as our young children will be going to ski school. We’re looking for self catered apartments. Les Eucherts sounds better. Ideally want it to be really easy to get the kids there in the morning. Plus it would be great to be able to do a couple of runs in the afternoon with our eldest, straight from the accommodation.
I’ve looked at Cimes in Les Eucherts but it looks enormous- some apartments look very convenient, others would be a bit of a trek.

So- for those that have been there, what is the most convenient accommodation you’ve seen. Thank you

From memory these is a big self catering place on the end of the main slope, where the ESF ski school is.
Lots of other places claimed ski in/out, but that actually involved skiing across the main road and then down the baby slopes. And back up via the magic carpet and then a climb up a long ramp to the lifts. I did a lot of walking for a ski in ski out hotel opposite the lifts.

Thanks so much for your reply. Is this in Les Eucherts or La Rosiere itself?
in Les Eucherts I’ve seen:

  • Alparena apartments
  • Cimes Blanches
  • Les balcons de La Rosiere
im wondering which of these are genuinely ski in/ski out and near the ski school meet for our toddler.

The ones you said weren’t ski in/ski out- can you remember which magic carpet they were near- is this La Rosiere?

La Rosiere itself. We stayed in an Esprit Chalet, called Chalet Ecological (or something like that) which was downhill and the other side of the road to the main lift. From a quick search, La Roc Noir was the place I was thinking of. But in reality I think you'll end up climbing the ramp from the road anyway, so may as well travel in if the accommodation is better.

Alparena in Les Eucherts is genuinely ski in ski out (straight from the boot room) and is absolutely lovely. Would go back in a heartbeat. Apartments are gorgeous and there's a great pool, and restaurant if you can't be bothered to cook. It's the ideal world of self-catering but with hotel extras when you want them (it's a hotel too).

We've stayed in Cimes Blanche. It was ski in/out for us but our beginner kids struggled with it. I fact I don't rate the resort for children or adults in fact. Too many long button lifts.
