Skiing solo - tips/recommendations?

I am thinking of doing a 3 night ski break solo this year. We usually go as a family but for many reasons, the rest of my family can’t make it this year and none of my pals are available to come with. I’m am advanced skier with 25 years of skiing under my belt but just want to know if anyone has any tips or recommendations? I’m female and in my 40s…

Have you looked at Snowheads? There's often people there looking for buddies if you fancy a buddy?

There was a poster on here before Christmas who went on a 3 day solo trip.

Hi, it was me who went away on my own. I used this company www.skiweekender.com/ and they were very good - if you email them they might be able to provide a room without a solo discount.

I think you would be in a better position than me as an advanced skier, as Im ok but not brilliant and conditions weren't amazing so I stuck well within my abilities as conscious no one was looking out for me. If I'd absolutely wanted to, I probably could have gone out with one of the other groups.

It did feel slightly awkward at the chalet being on my own but I think it was because most other folks where there for a pre christmas break with their teenage offspring. I did make friends with a lovely lady and her DD.

If you fancied coaching or guiding and happy to treat yourself then look at Ski Goddess, there are options for advanced skiers mid March.

If you join the Facebook page for Ski Club of Great Britain and the resort you're going to, you can link up with some others for skiing. I've seen lots of people putting out similar messages!

Ski goddess looks great. Is it a personal recommendation because you’ve been with them? Any reviews welcomed thanks.

@Missingthesnow2 yes I have, twice, and on my most recent trip most of the ladies were on their second or third trip. Highly recommended :)

That’s a great endorsement. Thanks.
