When do you book your lift pass?

I thought you skiers could help me!… I’m off to the Alps, Les Get/Morzine in August for a mountain biking holiday… it all works the same way as skiing but with bikes! So lots
of uplifts to the top.

I’ve not done this before and just
looking at lift passes to order online.
It says that you then collect them from a kiosk, bit if I want them in the best condition I need to collect them within 24hrs
of buying.

Does that mean everyone buys them last minute? Is there an infinite supply? I’m worried they will be sold out if I buy too late!

What should I do? Thanks

They won’t sell out - there’s no limit. Unless they are offering a discount to buy in advance, just buy them at the kiosk when you get there.

I just buy when I arrive. They don't usually give discounts if you buy in advance and there's no limit on how many they sell

I just got them on the day. Granted, it’s cheaper if you buy a week long pass but I wasn’t riding everyday. I just got to the lift station at 8 830 and got it there and then.

Am soooo jealous btw. Morzine and Les gets on a mountain bike is about the best fun you can have on two wheels. Enjoy, op!

Thank you! Yes, I’m so excited! 😀

I’m buying and 8 day consecutive pass for a family of 4. So best to buy it there then?

Thanks

In the winter they have an option that you can buy a pass for non consecutive days. Couples/family tickets may be cheaper too. Depending on which days you would be using the lift pass it may be cheaper - just ask at the booth and they will tell you the best way to do it.
Also, lift passes are included in the Multipass along with lots of other stuff. I would do that if it were me.

I haven’t bought a long pass for the last couple of times but it’s pretty straightforward from what I remember. I think you’ll need passport photos fir the longer passes but that is easy, I think they have the machines in the ticket offices.

Prepare for braking bumps like you’ve never seen before, on the main trails that is. Especially at that time in the season. So much stuff there though if you get off the beaten track. The shops were really helpful if you’re looking for certain types of riding. Panorama trail above Lindarets was a highlight for me.
