Really wanted to go to La Rosiere but haven't been able to fit together DH's time off/ childcare availability/chalet availability so I have an option on a week in Plan Peisey.

It looks fine for DH and I. We're not too fussy (as long as the runs aren't too scarey for me ). But, we are going with my parents who have never skied but want to give it a go but being 64 and 63 they are aware that they might not get on with it or be up to skiing all the time so, to cut a long story short can anyone let me know:

  • Is there a bus that goes between the different Les Arcs villages. My Mum wants to be able to go as far up the mountain as she can as a pedestrian and it looks like you need to be able to get to some of the villages on the other side of Les Arcs to do this
  • Did you have lessons and if so what were they like ?

erm, there must be lots of other qu's I can think of but that is it for now !

Thanks.

We went to Les Arcs three years ago and I'm 90% sure we were in Plan Peisey but will check with DH later as I have preg head and can't be certain. The village we stayed in seemed q isolated compared to the rest of the resort -and it was a pain lugging your skis a long way back after a hard day's skiing.
Didn't have lessons so can't help there but IIRC there's a good variety of slopes there and an English ski school as well as ESF.
Hope that helps
