If I loved Morzine/Les Gets…where for Easter?

That has similar slopes? Loved the tree lined relatively quiet slopes (blue/red) and the mountain restaurants at half term. Fancying a cheeky 5 night break first week April somewhere. I’m assuming not much snow Morzine/Les Gets as low. Didn’t like Avoriaz- too busy (and a couple of slopes you can’t avoid that got really chopped up/busy).

Any ideas? Thanks.

It's tricky to make a suggestion that fits the bill because slopes below the tree line are lower by definition than those at higher altitude - which is better for Easter skiing. Serre Chevalier, Les Arcs and La Plagne might be worth a look. Also first week in April is not that late. I have friends with a place in Morzine who still ski there then, but they at least know they can go up to Avoriaz if it's not favourable. Maybe someone will have some Austrian suggestions.

We just went to Norway. We hadn't skiied in Scandinavia before - normally always go to the Alps - and we went because Easter is snow sure there and we wanted kid friendly. I was honestly so impressed. The only downside for us was not having any really hard skiing but that was partly the resort we were in. If you like blues and reds then I would recommend it so highly.

Norway is on my list @TimeForGouter -I have a work office there so have been a few times but never to the ski resorts. Did your kids use ski school? Did you go HB or self cater? The short flight and ability to get a train to the resorts is very appealing!

Anywhere in Austria but we particularly loved zell am see. Similar runs to France but much cheaper friendlier and amazing food! Great terrain and lots of resorts close by for variety

Hi, yes the kids used ski school (Skistar) and it was brilliant. The teachers were all so lovely. The lessons seemed to be really geared around what the kids wanted to do - eg if they wanted to go to the park, the teacher took them to the park.
We self catered but ate quite a few meals out. You know Norway so you know that the food budget has to be quite big! We did find though that we spent less on lift passes and accommodation so the total holiday spend was reasonably similar to France (albeit we tend to stay in catered chalets in France).

After the fact now, as that time has passed, but I was also going to suggest Austria and the Zell region (with its smaller sister resorts nearby too). But I'm not sure how snow sure they are in early April as it's quite low.
That said, they seemed have have decent late coverage in Rauris (just down the road) that week as I was looking at the webcams. This time last year I think it was all gone though.

Where did you go in the end?
