Quick questions for skiing in France but travel via Geneva

Just a quick one if any one can answer:

We are arriving in Geneva so currently it seems just need proof of vaccination (2 plus booster) for entry.

What happens when you enter France? I’ve been told the airport either enters into France or into Switzerland - is this true?

As we are entering France from Geneva airport are we considered to have travelled from UK and there for need entry to France as a UK traveller from an orange list country? (There is an additional form). Or is it considered entry from Switzerland?

Can you use NHS Covid app QR code for vaccination proof for ski lifts/restaurants etc? Or Do you need the French Tousanticovid app?

Many thanks!!!

I'm doing the same on Friday and we have been told to complete and print the French health declaration form www.interieur.gouv.fr/sites/minint/files/medias/documents/2022-02/12-02-2022-engagement-sur-l-honneur-orange.docx

(No idea who we show that to though!)

Download the Tousanticovid app and add your vaccination details there. This is what you will need to show for lifts/restaurants.

Fab thanks!

And entry to Switzerland? On Geneva airport website it literally says you don’t need anything at all, government website says you need to show if vaccinated. I mean we will have our vaccination status QR codes anyway… just conflicting!

Just Covid vaccination status for Switzerland as far as I know!

Whenever I have gone into Geneva it has been into Switzerland; they will likely just check your passport but have your NHS cert printed out in case. If you are transiting France via road you won't need your declaration sur l'honneur, nobody will ask for it.

You can use your NHS app for passe sanitaire although I prefer TAC app when in France.

Sorry to jump on this thread with my own question, but going skiing in France soon and had another q for you knowledgeable lot.

Is the tousanticovid app needed to enter cafes/ ski lifts etc? If you get pinged, do you then need to isolate and await test results? I'm going without kids and only for a few days, and really don't want to get stuck there! Beginning to wonder if wise to go... I'm fully vaccinated and had covid mid Jan if it makes any difference...

@pastaparadise don't worry at all. For a start you will be unlikely to catch it again if you had it so recently (I tell myself that anyway, haha).

TAC app is not required; you can use your NHS app if you like. I prefer to use TAC app but I don't have contact tracing enabled on it.

If it helps I've been 3 times (also had covid when you did) and had no issues at all. Also, from 14 March (depends when you are going) all the restrictions are ending and you don't even need the vaccine pass.

Did the same last week, needed NHS vaccination pass at Heathrow out and Geneva on the way. Other than that the only places I recall being asked for it was checking into the hotel and buying lift passes.
