What skis would you go for (hire) if you're a capable skier with experience?

Whichever range is their most expensive tbh - then ask their advice within that depending on snow conditions!

I’d probably get the rental shop’s top level of skis to give you more options. Within that it probably comes down to conditions and the type of skiing you’re doing- you’ll know as an experienced skier that if you’re in Colorado skiing powder fields you’ll want something very different than if you’re skiing groomed pistes in the Alps. Availability dependent they’ll also probably let you swap them out mid week if you’re going different skiing or just want to try something different.

Thanks both.
Off to the Alps (hopefully!) in Feb.

Do you have your own boots? That's probably the best investment you can make - if not don't be afraid to keep changing them (or the skis) if you don't like them. I've had several holidays where I haven't got on with the skis and had to change them....
