has anyone used these and if so did you like them, is it worth trying them?

yes, they are fantastic last ski holiday I tried them in a lesson and never ever put my skis back on for the rest of the week

snow blades are SUCH fun and you don't botger with poles - really really good, I even got my husband and his band of obsessive skiers hooked!

Dinny, does it make skiing easier and do you need lessons in how to use them?

they are MILES easier than skis, IMo - although I am a fairly good skier (sorry, not boasting, honest!)

I didn't have lessons, and nor did dh or any of his friends, but I think it prob depends on how competent you are at skiing.... but deffo easier and more fun!

Have used blades for a few years now, they are great.
Miles easier than skis - it's actually really hard to fall over.
No poles to mess around with getting on the lift, really easy to carry around.

what would you advise I do - should I try them on a dry slope before I go or wait until I go on holiday at New Year? i was hoping to go into classes, I can't do that wearing short skiscan I?

maybe go to ski classes then also have a pair of blades to wear when not in class?

maybe hire them for a couple of days at end of hols? thing is, once you try them you won't want to ski as it's so much easier and carefree and fun!

don't bother with trying them on dry ski slope
