Anyone bought ski gear from Dare2B

I am looking at Ski Gear. I don't want to spend loads as not a regular skier and chances are masking trip may be cancelled due to Coronavirus.

I'd like something weather suitable but also a bit glam. Anyone bought from Dare2B? What is the quality like?

We had dare2b ski gear in the past, and it is usually pretty good.

Make sure any jacket you choose had a snow skirt if you are a beginner. But I would think most of theirs did anyway. A snow skirt stops snow getting up inside the back of the jacket if you fall over.

I had D2B jacket and saloupettes as a student, it was completely fine new and lasted about 3 years before the jacket stopped being waterproof (I wore it a lot as a warm dry coat in the winter not just skiing!).

The saloupettes were bulky compared to other brands but nice and warm.

We’ve had lots, Kids &Adults! perfectly warm & comfortable for beginners/intermediates, kids love their stuff and mix & match from their sets, we currently have green salopettes with orange jacket, red with green and black with red, salopettes sometimes come up smal.

Meant to say, they also do slimmer fit less bulky salopettes now as well, definitely worth the extra 🎿

If I were looking to buy cheap gear I think it would have to be decathlon - French styling gives it the edge I think! And their quality is very good for most stuff - haven't tried the ski gear personally but never heard a bad word about it.

The suit I like is white with some black accents. Is white a bad idea for a snowsuit?

White isn’t my colour, I like to be seen on the slopes so people can give me a wide berth 😂, seriously though, unless you’re really careful it gets grubby easily and looks scruffy quickly. Best holiday ever though, I love to ski!

I have Dare2be salopettes and I've been happy with them

I don't think I'd wear a white snowsuit. I'd want to be more visible on the slopes. Bright pink is good. Orange looks good against snow

Graffitiqueen · 25/08/2020 15:18

I seen far too many people in white skisuits with dirty marks on the bum. Not a good look!

dare2B is an ok brand not as waterproof as others. I wouldn;t buy anything less than 20k waterproof but we do ski in scotland a lot!

Just to agree with others. White gets dirty quickly from t bars and drags etc and personally I never liked the idea of an all in one with its top half dragging on the floor while you use a mountain loo with the floor soaking wet from everyone else's ski boots (not sure if that's what you meant by ski suit but anyway).
Bright colours are the best on the slopes and also nice for your friends/family to be able to spot you from a distance! It's all personal tho.

massistar · 28/08/2020 15:16

White all in ones are reserved for continental ladies who look immaculate with perfect hair and expensive sunglasses and don't ski very much. 😬

No wonder white is in the sale.
I think I'll skip this colour and go back to my original plan of buying pink.

I've had a Dare2B jacket for 7 years and ski a couple of weeks a year and it is still looking good and no issues with the zip! I wouldn't buy white though.

Couldn't agree more with this. This year put DS1 in black salopettes and a grey and blue jacket. Looks lovely. Not very striking or easy to spot him. In contrast DS2 was in a bright orange all in one. Really easy to spot him. Then I'd scan the area knowing DS1 was nearby. Twice I spotted them underneath me as I went over in the gondola thanks to DS2.
