We're taking the 6 and 4 year old on their first ski trip to Europe next year.

ALDI special buys next week is ski stuff - has anyone had it, would you recommend it? We all need new gear. None of us are great skiers - just recreational!

My friends bought it for the price it was great but needed spare salopettes (the trousers) as they often weren't drying out they were learning to snowboard though so a lot of time spent on their bums!

It also depends when you are going as to how cold it is. Obviously they are thinner than an expensive eider fleece lined trousers but unless going in mid January when it's likely to be freezing its not needed! Would put them about the same thickness as trespass/roxy stuff though!

My children both had Aldi ski stuff last season - I would highly recommend it!

Thanks this is sounding positive. We're going to Italy late
March so I don't think it'll be that cold!

It’ll be perfect.

I wouldn't recommend the merino wool vase layers though. It was really poor quality. The outerwear was fine.

Also their gilets and fleece jackets, ski underwear and longjohns, also woven fleece, are also highly recommended. Wear them myself and DD has worn them on several ski trips. Agree that if it is very cold (Swiss Alpine in January) you need thicker stuff or more layers.
