What a shame they don't have one in my size Sad What were the 80's thinking of? Grin Grin

Hmmmm had one very similar in the 80's so shiny and purple I loved it!!

dontcallmethatyoucunt · 07/02/2018 20:24

I'll be snapping that beaut right up Grin

MoonlightandMusic · 07/02/2018 21:26

dont - if you do and happen to be skiing, ooh, anywhere in the French Alps over half-term, I'm quietly convinced I'll be able to see you from the PdS. Grin Grin

Would not be surprised if we see a few of those on the slopes this year. All the retro 80's stuff is back in fashion

JessyJames · 07/02/2018 22:38

Very fashionable! My DS really wants something similar.

MrsJoshDun · 07/02/2018 22:40

I fairly often see French ladies of a certain age in similar outfits....normally not actually skiing though. Pulling grandkids along in sledges, etc.

FadedRed · 07/02/2018 22:42

I had a shiny palisade green suit in the eighties, loved it, my favourite ever was a navy and white one-piece. Would happily wear that one again if they do come back into fashion. Did see several people wearing 'vintage' gear last year. Never sure whether it's deliberate fashion statement, or just that they are too tight to buy a new outfit. Grin

FadedRed · 07/02/2018 22:44

Palisade?? Should read 'two-piece'

NotAnotherEmma · 07/02/2018 22:48

You don't need a fancy outfit to get noticed on the slopes, just run into a tree, that'll get you noticed.

MoonlightandMusic · 07/02/2018 23:13

Are you speaking from experience NotAnother? Wink

I've found that having a hissy fit at one's other half, halfway down a piste, for being persuaded into trying a baby blue steep black on the first week also seems to draw notice Blush. Particularly when the OH then does a lazy backwards snowplough in front of you the rest of the way so you can't see 'the steep'. Blush Blush

Haha moonlight that sounds just like me. Massive hissy fits at DH usually followed by threat of divorce.

dontcallmethatyoucunt · 08/02/2018 10:04

The 'hissy fit' was the final hurrah of my snowboarding days. It did indeed draw a crowd Blush

MargoLovebutter · 08/02/2018 10:08

My ex-H used to sport something nearly as fetching in blue & yellow hues when we first skied together in the early 90s. That should probably have been my clue that he wasn't going to be a keeper! Grin

MoonlightandMusic · 08/02/2018 20:34

Thank goodness it's not just me! Not sure if it was me or him more in need of a chocolat chaud avec by the time we got to the bottom.

Margo - something like this fetching number? Yup, definitely a clue there. Grin

Although would have caused not divorce courts, but under- the-patio type actions.Shock Shock
