Hi , I'm looking at going away for Christmas next year. Myself and 12 & 13yr old.
Never been before, will get lessons out there. Would like a resort with doorstep skiing and guranteed snow. Any advise welcome. On my shortlist already are la Tania & Val thrones .

I did 8 winter seasons working in the alps and go skiing in Europe every year. Christmas is neither warmer nor colder than February Confused Depends on the weather that year.

I agree - Christmas is neither warmer nor colder than Feb half-term - it is just what the weather is that year (which could be mild and sunny or bloody freezing!).

If you decide to go for Christmas/New Year I would wait and book when you see what the snow conditions will be. As your DC are older you won't need to extras like childcare and family rooms that require you to book early - so take advantage of that and get yourself a last minute deal. It's likely to be cheaper too.
