Insurance recommendation

Planning a ski trip at Easter but struggling to find insurance company which will cover me for a knee ligament injury incurred on last years ski holiday! (have been discharged by orthopaedic consultant) Surely loads of people on slopes must have previous injuries!
I'd be grateful for recommendations of good winter sports insurers. TIA

Sorry I can't help but I'm watching with interest for a family member in a similar predicament.

Had a quick look at mine (Dogtag) and they won't cover anything caused by an injury that you have received treatment for in the last two years, e.g. if you hurt the same ligament again, but they would cover you otherwise, as far as I can tell. So as long as the accident wasn't caused by and/or didn't affect the same ligament it looks like you'd be ok - might be with a call to ask?

I tore my ACl in February 1991, but skied the following December, however I was armed with a letter from the consultant that I was fit to ski. our insurers coughed up a large amount from the original injury, but made no mention of being uninsured thereafter. Try Staysure, I have just used them for sons and grandson, they seem sensible.

Thanks for the replies, I'll try Staysure. I definitely want to be insured for repeat of same injury as although I've worked really hard at rehab and strengthening, it hasn't been repaired so think it may be a weak spot if I fall awkwardly again. How did you get on Tricky, I'm feeling mildly nervous about it, but have booked a couple of 1-1 lessons for 1st few days when we get there to build confidence and optimise technique.
Any other insurance recommendations would be gratefully received.
