Too late for this season? Budget for family of 4?

I've got a big birthday coming up, and gone back to work, so thinking of blowing caution to the wind and booking sking.

Is it too late to get a reasonable holiday this year? Family of 4, DC have never skied.

How does it work? I remember adults need ski hire, lessons, passes. What about the DC? Who's a good company to go with - do some include lessons etc?

We booked last minute to squeeze in a December trip. I tried doing it myself but in the end used an 'agent' called Chaletline to find me what I wanted and at the price I wanted.
We went with esprit who were amazing for my beginner DC and it gave us time together to enjoy as adults too

Have you got specific dates in mind?

How old are your children?

You could look at family specialist operators like esprit, ski famille, family ski etc if your kids are younger. If not and you're happy to book things separately we've had some great finds through 'the solutions room' on the chalets direct website.

Placemarking as we may be going on a ski holiday and it will be my first time of organising one.

We've found Neilson Ski to be good for packages if that's what you want. We've used them on about 4/5 occasions and they have always been hassle free.

Most companies offer Learn to Ski weeks which include the lessons, ski hire and passes. It usually saves you a bit of money on getting them separately.
