Was wondering if anyone can give me some ideas based on:-

  1. We are family of five , 2 adults and 3 children aged 11, 8 and 6, none of us have been skiing before
  2. Would like to go somewhere over or just after Christmas, and would you recommend this with children?
Somewhere that's not expensive as may not like it :) but somewhere where we could do non skiing activities as well eg tobogganing, sledging, sleigh rides etc
  1. Does all of this exist ? 😄

Coming back to this a little late, apologies.

Funnily enough skiing55 that was where we stayed! Great place, shame about the lack of snow! Sainte Foy had the helicopter snow, Les Menuires has plenty of snow cannons. They even managed to clear the Col d'Iseran for the first season in ages.

Wrt passes, dh and my older two bought them for the whole ski area before we flew out, not cheap and they didn't get anywhere near the amount of use they'd hoped. Internet's the best place for discounts and you can get that just before you go.

We tried driving before and hated it - with 6 of us to accommodate the costs rack up. Our plan is to get cheap flights or use air miles then get a local transfer.
