Family skiing after Esprit?

Hi All
Have just returned from a fabulous holiday in Tignes and am thinking about next year. DS1 will be 11, and I think he'll be too old for the "Esprit experience" next year, although it'll still be great for his little brothers. We could do an Esprit holiday and book him in for lessons but not snow club. What have other people done with slightly older DC?

Would he not just want to ski with the adults at that age? Or are you at very different skill levels?

DD (10) and DS (9) skied with us last week but they are excellent skiers. Would benefit from more lessons, of course, some off piste speciality ones I think, but most of the time we all skied together.

Just stupidly posted on another thread, but just wanted to say that Ski2 were really good re: different ages. They're only in Champoluc but they're worth a look for something new. We took kids aged 7 to 12 and the 12 year olds were all v good skiers and had a blast with similarly aged and experienced children. Worth a look and no I am not affiliated!

We chuck ours in ski school in the morning and ski with the 6 year old in the afternoon. Yes it's slower but reds are fine now so it's a great to go together. Can't believe you've not taken him out yet.

We have skied with both DS since age 10 and 7 all day. Done several things esprit but no childcare or lessons and booked own skis online. Kids had others in evenings and we had adults at dinner. Boys then outgrew early tea. So have done crystal and ski world chalets. Always found other kids in the holidays for them to hang out with in the evenings. On t whole we try and go for bigger chalets that have a lounge with something like a pool table or wii . Something to encourage the kids to interact.

We are at the same sort of stage. Last year we ended up with Ski Total which is Esprits sister company and it worked better as the chalet maid let us have early tea some days and the kids eat with us in the others. We booked separate ski lessons for 3 days and then they skied with us for 3 days.

Next year we are going to a big chalet hotel with a pool and other facilities in the hope that they find some other kids to hang out with.
