Toddler ski's for messing about...

I live day-trip distance from Glen Shee. Took 3 yo DD at the weekend, who had loads of fun but was dreadful - total jelly legs unable to balance at all!
She liked playing at ski-ing - e.g having her skis between mine so's I could do the control and balance part, and is small enough that I can manage to carry her on button tows. But hiring her gear is too expensive to go often.
I'm tempted to buy "toddler" toy skis (eg Little Bum Toddler Ski's) for her to mess about with. Are they rubbish - should I just wait till she's older and has a chance of ski-ing properly? They're not particularly cheap (£35), but if it means I can get her on the slopes whilst her lift pass is free...
Any tips or comments?

Are they the plastic strap on type ? If so they can't really ski in them , more shuffle about , and there is little foot/ankle support. dd had some but mainly for the garden and even then they didn't get much use. At 3 she used proper skis and boots which we hired for the season.

Have been v lucky and been given a pair of hand-me-down kids ski's for her this morning! So have been prowling e-bay /gumtree for boots and have found loads that will cost less. Thanks for the advice; they were exactly the plastic strap-on type skis, and you've probably just saved me from ski-misery.

Glad you got some skis. Any luck with boots yet? I noticed there have been loads on ebay recently.
