Kinderhotels in Austria - any good?

DH and I both love skiing and used to go every year before DS was born. He's now 3.5, and we would love to go skiing with him next year. Came across Kinderhotels, and they look very appealing. Has anyone been? Which ones are good? Ideally, we'd want somewhere with really easy access to the slopes, don't fancy a bus transfer to go skiing etc.

Also, how do the transfers to/from the aiports work, do the hotels do that individually? I am a bit paranoid about this, tbh, I don't like the idea of travelling in a minibus or the likes with DS and no proper car seat...

Hi, we went to Zell am See with Inghams and stayed in a Kinderhotel. The skiing wasn't great as it was end of season and not a large skiing area, but the transfer from Innsbruck was only half an hour. Unfortunately it was a minibus transfer, so our son sat on my knee. I think most transfers are like that, unless you arrange it yourself, but DIY skiing transfers can be horrendously expensive.

The hotel was good - completely geared up for children, with child-friendly staff, well sound-proofed rooms, washing machine available for use, separate adult and child swimming pool/spa areas, buggies and sledges available to loan, room telephone that doubled as a listening device, play areas etc. We didn't use the creche, but other families we spoke to recommended it highly. We went at the end of season, so the hotel was quiet, but I can imagine it must be pretty chaotic in high season. I'm afraid the children's food was pretty shocking: chicken nuggets and chips, turkey twizzlers and chips etc. We tried to find things from the adult buffet our son could eat. All the food was really salty and he kept waking in the night because he was thirsty. Also, we were expected to eat dinner with him in an evening, which wasn't very relaxing!
