Long weekend for DD (8) and me

I really fancy it and am hoping for some advice on how to book this. I want to fly from either Cardiff or Bristol, and I've been advised to head to Morzine because of the ease of transfer the other side.

How can I go about this? Ideally, I'd love an agency to book it all for me, kit and kaboodle, so I don't have the faff of doing it all.

Anyone done a long weekend. Approx Sunday to Wednesday?

Easyjet - Bristol to Geneva.

Post on Chalets Direct in the Solutions room to find chalets who can cater for short breaks.

Have fun - it sounds great!

It's a smaller resort, but probably plenty for a long weekend and in Switzerland www.flumserberg.ch
Approx 1 hr drive from Zurich.
If you go on a train a bit longer trip.
Lovely fun sledge run too.

Fantastic Heather! thanks.
Would this be an option for booking through an agent?
I'm lazy lacking in confidence to do it myself.

Hmm I'm not sure if you could. But you could ring them and ask. This is the tourist board number for the resort, they are usually very nice and helpful: 0041 81 720 15 15

I would recommend Switzerland for a long weekend. Fly to Geneva and jump on the train (pick up picnic food from supermarket in geneva airport to scoff on the train). You dont even have to leave the airport, the station is below it and you can take the luggage trolley on the escalator down - I love the Swiss effciency!

We've been to Leysin, Nendaz, les diablerets (and Gstaad) and saas fee (long transfer) for a long weekend or short week break. I've found the Swiss tourist board helpful and we've also used otp holidays who were working in conjunction with the Swiss tourist board at one of the ski/board shows a couple of years ago. I think otp offered reduced rates for under 9's too, their prices usually include ski pass, rental discount and cross channel crossing which you could negotiate if you were flying (I've not used them recently though so this might have all changed). We were hoping to try Villars next but fell pregnant.
