Hi, I am hoping I can get some advice on where to ski with children of Three different age groups. We are hoping to have a lovely family holiday but also time as a couple. I have looked at the numerous family ski companies and they all seemed focused on the very young ones, which would be great for my 4 year old. The trouble is I also have an 11 year old and a 16 year old. My 16 year old has been skiing numerous times with school but as for the rest of us we are all novices. I am looking for a resort and company which will cater for the little one entertain the middle one in the afternoon and also provide me with things to do if i tire of trying to stay on my feet (ski's) Then my biggest problem, entertaining the teen of an evening without compromising some much needed time with my husband. All advice is welcomed. Thanks in advance

Could you go with another family or two with similar age DC and get a chalet or go to a chalet hotel where there are likely to be other teens? With such a spread of ages I'd be surprised if one company could match all your needs and take your 16-year-old off your hands, as well as the 11- and 4-year-olds. From what I can see most companies do 'childcare' up to age 12 and after that you're on your own. If you really want some time alone with your DH do you have family who could let you go away somewhere together?

Depending on your budget, ClubMed in Val d'isere in the Easter holidays, Scott Dunn/Powder Byrne in the Easter Holidays or at Half Term, one of the big chalet hotels in either holiday. They usually sleep around 35 and might easily be quite full by now, which means they will know the composition of the other groups, which they should be able to share with you. Ski school lasts longer in Austria than in France (morning & afternoon with a break for lunch which can be taken with the instructor). Hope this helps (in a non sarcastic way).
