We have been with them twice to the Marmau in La Tania. Lovely chalet, great service, creche staff were all great. Nothing but recommendations for them.

Couldn't agree more. Family owned and run, they know their properties inside and out and I highly recommend them.

Thanks. My real bugbear previosuly has been consolidation of transfers - you get an early flight then spend two hours sitting on the coach waiting for the flight from Manchester etc. That has put me off goign again with SkiTotal. The Le Ski brochure says they dont do this - ie each flight has its won trnafer. Is this true?

I don't remember hanging around for another flight; am pretty sure the Manchester flight people came along separately. We drove the first year but seem to remember people arriving at the chalet at different times.

We went to La Tania last April with Le Ski (Le Rabel). Can't recommend them highly enough. Lovely chalet, food, ski guiding, staff really friendly and helpful. Didn't wait for transfer from what I remember. They have some amazing last minute offers at the moment - over 50% off. Unfortunately can't go this year but would definitely use them again.

Oh and one of the best things was that they were very flexible about kids eating arrangements which is what put me off Esprit etc. My dc's (11 and 8) could eat with us in the evening rather than with the really little children at 5.30.

MrsGuyOfGisbourne · 23/03/2011 17:41

Dotty - thanks!!!!! The eating is also an issue for us, as one DC is 13, the other 11, and initially Ski Total were adament the 11 year old would have to eat at 5.30 (which as a nuisance as we wanted to toboggan when the pistes shut. But we accepted that was the unbreakable rule...)Then, because there were only two under 13s in the hotel for that week, for SKi Total's convenience the chef insisted that they old eat with the adults... Fine by us (tho' the other family would have preferred teh 5.30), but rather irritating that they can flex to suit the company but not the guests. So I think all that clinches it - Le Ski next year!
