Thinking of heading up there for a weekend at the end of Feb.

Can anyone recommend somewhere to stay?

Is it ok for beginner/intermediate level?

many Thanks

i had a look at the maps and i think glencoe looked best for beginners, but i have never been so can't really help. i am hoping for a foray up there too.

When ever we go to Scotland either the roads are shut or the lifts.

Have booked accomodation..., just praying for perfect weather now....

I think Cairngorm's OK for beginner/intermediate? But then I haven't skied since I was 14 and I hated it! I don't know - just wanted to give it a plug cos it's fab!

I went when I was 12 and hated it too.... Went to xscape for a day lesson earlier in the week and loved it!

I live 15 miles from Glenshee, snow should be good following monday though you never know by end of the month. Good for all levels though if you're taking kids Cairngorm may be better as more to do if hill not open or poor weather. Accomodation locally in Braemar or Spital of Glenshee, not alot of "apre-ski".

It's next weekend 18th that we are heading up, have booked into a wee hotel in blairgowerie as its the right side for us if that makes sense?

Just praying for good snow and conditions as ds is at Grannys for the weekend so we can hopefully have a whole weekend of skiing!
