She did, but said DH was a complete and total arsehole who was an insult to the male gender. Nirpal Dhaliwal, he was called - I can't vouch for the spelling, but google some of his idiotic rants and you'll get the idea.

i feel sorry for her because she did seem like she really wanted a family, but all her issues and insecurities led her to waste her time on him and end up with nothing. so now she is all bitter towards mums

I only read her outpourings occasionally and felt that she is quite damaged personality wise. Yes he may well not have been much of a dh(understatement) However (imo) perhaps she would have been better off dealing with that via the divorce courts rather than self pitying rants in a newspaper/magazine.

I guess her column made her a lot of money, but it sure didn't make her happy.

I see that next week's observer is advertising a big interview with her in their woman magazine. They don't seem to have thought this through; telling me this in advance will pretty much guarantee that i get another paper.

She's in the mail online this weekend saying something about a horse saving her life.

I thought it was the prospect of that "green" Shazza Goldsmith woman on here which had the most hostile reception. People were alternately snorting with rage and salivating at the prospect of laying into her. (Bet you'd all have been a bit more accommodating if it had been Zac...)

I'm a bit that MNHQ think this, given actually a lot of the webchatters themselves have given quite limited service lately and been ill-prepared for what to expect from their PR people.

I don't really buy the idea that we're supposed to be grateful that they turn up and therefore we can't ask difficult questions. We are the public, it is the job of the public to ask 'public figures' difficult questions.

I still agree with you and some posters that webchats need a format to stop the onslaught of the same question, or random offensive barracking. But a bit of vigorous challenge, surely that's fine? Like PMQ?
