If you (still) feel the need to discuss Moldies, please do it here so folks can hide this if they want to.

Well hopefully the title says it all. There's been a suggestion, and we agree, that as we did with Baby P and the Mc Canns we just have one thread where anyone who feels they still have anything to add on this subject can post and those who'd rather move on can hide it away.

It feels strange to put this thread in site stuff as we are definitely not wanting to encourage further discussion of Moldies (we have presents to wrap too you know ) but we weren't sure where else to put it.

We will delete any new Moldies threads that are started, so please feel free to report them in case we miss any (what with wrapping the presents and all...)

And if you do want to carry on the discussion please remember that Mumsnet's here to make everyone's lives easier and not the reverse, and that Christmas is a time of goodwill to all mumsnetters past, present and future

Thanks,
MNHQ

StealthPoHoHoHo · 29/12/2008 10:48

"ease up on here a bit"
Bumper, what is left is non-Moldie. My first reaction was to cut back but then I realised that MN may be a better place.
As far as being identified goes, you have name changed, but enough for regulars to know who you are quite a bit, haven't you? That makes it quite a bit harder to get any one person's full story iyswim.

foxytocin · 29/12/2008 11:02

"actual truth"

Jools, the above from your post below, is making my teeth itch.

sorry.

Quattrocento · 29/12/2008 11:06

Honestly Jools, I don't think anyone cares about that mouldies stuff any more. This thread is more about cocktails and indignation about the SIndie and general silliness. Let's not revive all that bad feeling.

TheTwelveDAISYofChristmas · 29/12/2008 11:06

bumper...anything with the bumper-bit in will make you instantly recogniseable but difficult to search. Don't ease up; you're hardly here as it is these days

morningpaper · 29/12/2008 11:06

Jools no one doubts that Twiglett's/moldies original intention was good

I'm sure everyone wants to let it rest now Jools and move forward TBH

Tiggiwinkle · 29/12/2008 11:27

From what I have seen on these threads Jools it is you who keeps coming back with the intention of stirring things up.

Or that is how it appears to me.

needmorecoffee · 29/12/2008 11:34

Pasta sandwich?

catinthehat1 · 29/12/2008 11:38

I have a January King cabbage which I have been nursing in the fridge for days now. I am going to cook it with some home grown potatoes (mashed) and possibly the remaining Christmas sausages & stuffing which are in the freezer. And some gravy.

foxytocin · 29/12/2008 11:40

Quattrocento · 29/12/2008 11:42

NorthernLurkerwithastarontop · 29/12/2008 11:48

I was thinking last night about the whole Sindie thing. Whilst journalists occasionally cock up, to have so fantastically misquoted everybody - with a permanent resource open in front of you - really takes some doing. So are they thick or was it deliberate? Just strikes me that everybody misquoted was very angry about the whole thing and posted extensively on it - with the exception of VS who I don't think posted as much and therefore I think may be a 'beard' - sorry VS. VVVQV on the other hand is quoted correctly I think? Is it really possible that somebody with a grudge has used the front page of a national newspaper to pursue it? Or do I need to go and stick my head in the fridge to calm down?

lovecat · 29/12/2008 11:49

Oh, tell me about it. I have breakfasted upon half a bag of cheese doritos and some tree chocolate. I have several packets of chocolate brazils, some lebkuchen and a box of tablet (which I dare not open alone as I fear I will simply inhale it) with which to construct a healthy and nutritious lunch for my family (DH had the last bit of yesterday's lasagne for brekky and DD had crackers, cheese, grapes and cucumber). Or I could go out fabric shopping as intended and stop by Greggs on the way home...

catinthehat1 · 29/12/2008 11:50

Have a sausage Northern
