If you (still) feel the need to discuss Moldies, please do it here so folks can hide this if they want to.

Well hopefully the title says it all. There's been a suggestion, and we agree, that as we did with Baby P and the Mc Canns we just have one thread where anyone who feels they still have anything to add on this subject can post and those who'd rather move on can hide it away.

It feels strange to put this thread in site stuff as we are definitely not wanting to encourage further discussion of Moldies (we have presents to wrap too you know ) but we weren't sure where else to put it.

We will delete any new Moldies threads that are started, so please feel free to report them in case we miss any (what with wrapping the presents and all...)

And if you do want to carry on the discussion please remember that Mumsnet's here to make everyone's lives easier and not the reverse, and that Christmas is a time of goodwill to all mumsnetters past, present and future

Thanks,
MNHQ

I just had a call from a friend who is involved with Starfleet who says it is front page news in tomorrow's New Klingon Times

StealthPoHoHoHo · 28/12/2008 22:28

What's the headline?
"Computer forum thread exceeds 1000 posts SHOCK"?

cornsilk · 28/12/2008 22:28

hmmmm slippery nipple eh? If I google that dh will get ideas. What do I need to add?

WhatSheSaid · 28/12/2008 22:28

StealthPohohoho NZ article is here - www.nzherald.co.nz/technology/news/article.cfm?c_id=5&objectid=10549962 It is just a complete copy of the Indie article though.

I agree the bottle is surprising for NZ. They are v pro-bf here. I've had random old ladies come up to me in public and congratulate me for bfing

StealthPoHoHoHo · 28/12/2008 22:28

NotanOtter · 28/12/2008 22:29

ToysAreLikeDogs · 28/12/2008 22:30

Bauble99 · 28/12/2008 22:31

Not sure. Also not keen to google with DH sitting nearby.

Cream, probably and amaretto(sp)?

morningpaperlovesbigwillies · 28/12/2008 22:32

The hard thing with cocktail parties is to get the balance right between entertaining your guests and actually destroying their vital organs

cornsilk · 28/12/2008 22:33

Go on bauble - it's for a good cause!
bald - I can't believe you actually make your own rice pudding. Truly a domestic goddess.

NorthernLurkerwithastarontop · 28/12/2008 22:35

Ladies - I know you're all getting legless but can I offer you some Christmas cake to soak up the booze?

I've just cut mine and it's bloody good. First time I've ever made it and it's so good I may need to get a statue errected to commemmorate it!

cornsilk · 28/12/2008 22:36

Does it have cherries in?

NorthernLurkerwithastarontop · 28/12/2008 22:37

yes but there chopped qp very small - please don't start - dh made enough fuss but you can't have a christmas cake without glace cherries!!!

holidaywonk · 28/12/2008 22:38

Ta!

morningpaperlovesbigwillies · 28/12/2008 22:39

NorthernLurkerwithastarontop · 28/12/2008 22:39
ToysAreLikeDogs · 28/12/2008 22:40

urrrr I just couldn't eat another crumb

[lies through teef]

cornsilk · 28/12/2008 22:41

I like big chunks of cherries. Lots of brandy also.
MP with a posting name like that MN will be front page on readers wives. (or whatever it's called - innocent)

NorthernLurkerwithastarontop · 28/12/2008 22:42

My cake doesn't make crumbs - it makes gorgeous little morsels of pleasure!

No MP he can manage a knife - but he moaned like anything about the marzipan as well! I shut him in the garage and only let him out when the neighbours heard the noise when he seemed contrite.

jINGLESbells · 28/12/2008 22:42

you've just cut your cake NL????
I've just finished mine off....
no wonder I feel like I'm going to burst

NorthernLurkerwithastarontop · 28/12/2008 22:44

We've been away for Christmas hence the delay - just need to have some left for when the family come here on Thursday - could be tricky...

lou33 · 28/12/2008 22:45

in just under 2 hours i will have a 12 yr old in my house (dd2's birthday), i just thought i would throw that in there

Bumperlicious · 28/12/2008 22:46

Oh FFS, this whole situation is really pissing me off now. I'm really fucked off. I asked MNHQ to delete my posts, they won't and Justine explained why, which is fair enough, and it's all very well saying "oh well you should have thought about what you posted before you posted it". WELL THAT WAS FINE UNTIL SOMEONE FUCKING MADE UP SOME SHIT ABOUT WHAT I POSTED.

And while this is an open forum and sure anyone could search on Bumperlicious and see all my posts, and someone who knew me would probably know it was me but you would have to come across the name first. That was fine UNTIL SOME TOSSER FUCKING PRINTED IT IN A NATIONAL NEWSPAPER FOR NO GOOD FUCKING REASON.

And sure there are some things that I have posted that I don't really want people in my RL to read, but when I posted then I weighed it up against the chances of it actually happening which was fine UNTIL HANNAH GODFREY DECIDED TO MISQUOTE ME.

Now unless you are any of the other people misquoted in this article I beg you not to speculate as to how it feels to see your MN name, which is as familiar to me as my christian name, in print.

FFS.
