That NSPCC ad is quite disturbing

The one which makes YOU MAKE ME SICK come out of your speakers if you accidentally roll your cursor over it. Gave me quite a start first time.

I know it's meant to be disturbing, but even so...

And why do the "nasty" things all have to be said in a male voice?

I never ever see these ads when anyone points them out.

I just have ing direct and Hillary's Blinds.

I hate NSPCC ads as a rule.

SheikYerbouti · 30/04/2008 14:23

Actually, I am more disturbed by the lack of apostrophe in Hillary's.

nickytwotimes · 30/04/2008 14:23

Scared the crap out of me too.
I usually have the speakers off.

I have to say this has passed me by - but love SYB's comment. Anyhow, is it something you can live with, or is this a "get this advert off" type thread/

I don't like it either, very creepy. I know the NSPCC have a thing about disturbing ads in order to grab attention, but this one truly is horrible. Gave me a real shock. If I'd been posting late at night, on my own in the house, I would have been really freaked.

And it doesn't bloody work - I'm less likely to give them money due to their piss-poor tactics.
