Why was my thread removed

Yesterday I posted about an upsetting incident in the swimming pool. It was just removed with the message that it wasn't genuine. No one contacted me about it but I can assure you I was not lying and I would hate to think you believe I was
How do I stop this happening in future? I'm prepared to verify any details.

How would you verify the details?

Magenta82 · 25/05/2022 17:30

The booking conformation of the class
The name of the leisure centre
The email I wrote thanking them for the way they handled it

If you’re the poster who reported a man for breathing too heavily whilst getting changed, then be grateful it was deleted as that was ridiculous.

Are you admin? Do you get to say what is and is not ridiculous?

People post about all sorts of things on mn, some of them I think are ridiculous, but that doesn't mean they should be deleted. If they are genuine and not offensive then why shouldn't the op have a chance to have her say?

sunscreenandsaltwater · 25/05/2022 17:43

Because essentially your thread was about hearing someone breathing.

LookItsMeAgain · 25/05/2022 17:44

@knittingaddict - did you actually read the thread posted by someone who was so anxious hearing a man in the changing room beside her breathing heavily that she was so tense and her muscles ached from being so tense hearing him breathing heavily......as he was getting dry and dressed from being in the pool and for no other reason!
That is verging on the ridiculous is it not????

I'm not sure if that is the thread we're discussing here but if it is, I'm with @RunningFromInsanity here.

CuriousCatfish · 25/05/2022 18:51

Me too. Breathing in the swimming baths. Sounds fascinating.

Hi OP

To discuss deletions, please can you email us on [email protected]?
We'd be happy to clarify.

Yes I read it. Aren't ridiculous posts the whole point of mn?

In any case looks like the thread is back, so anyone can go and read it now.

Sparklingbrook · 26/05/2022 08:00

Well there's ridiculous and there's Hmm. <goes off to read thread and decide>
