We have some more tips from Vicki Scott, Philips AVENT'S first baby feeding and wellbeing advisor. This time, Vicki's covering surviving Christmas with a baby which you can read here but we'd also love to get your top tips on how you coped with your first few Christmasses.

Everyone who sends a tip will be entered into a prize draw to win a Philips SENSEO Pod Coffee Maker (RRP £50) and a Philips Aluminum Juicer (RRP £100).
Thanks and good luck

Stuff Phillips. You need a Waring Juicer (meets whomoved's criterion). Unlike the Magimix one which (a) was a pain in the neck to wash (b) started leaking and (c) then packed up completely!

link please.

We got in in clearance from nisbets but they don't seem to have any more - so I will check the model number later and google for another supplier as there seem to be lots of different (mostly commercial grade and v expensive) waring juicers

(not that this is a hijack at all )

Just seen this thread - posted one on the Christmas section but hey-ho! Just wanted some tips on getting through the festive period with my 8m DD, an overbearing mother and a perfect sister who's 18 month old seems so well behaved in comparison. Already dreading the five days with a fixed grin in place

breastfeeding is so conveniet as it needs on equipment, co-sleeping means no cot and babywearing means no disrupted nap times - didn't see these on the experts list..........

mylittleponey · 12/12/2007 08:12

should be no equipment!!!!

AndATigerschickInAPearTree · 12/12/2007 08:16

Open all packaging on toys and take out all the plastic ties and put in batteries before wrapping the toys up. If possible ask friends and relatives to do the same.

Accept that you will probably not get all of your dc's presents open on Christmas day, certainly not while they are awake. Your dc will not mind!
