Please don't get rid of the Teenagers board

Just that really.

You'll see that a number of us are responding to the MNHQ post on the board itself, but just in case you're not checking replies there, a number of us really, really want to keep teenagers stuff away from the potty training, and parents of 6yos who think their darlings will never behave like that as teens.

We've got the message and we'll be keeping Teenagers as a distinct section. Thanks for all the comments and feedback so far.
We'll have a think about how best to promote the Teenagers section so that it continues to be a helpful and useful resource.

I agree it may seem an underused section, in fact I don't think I ever posted on it when DD was in that age group; I was however an avid lurker who gained much from others experiences and certainly appreciated it should I have needed to post.

If you make Teenagers visible from the first click of the Talk menu rather than only on the expand, that might help.

How about labelling 4 sections according to age group (so they are always at the top when you go to the parenting board), then having the rest of the topics in alphabetical order after that? E.g.

1 Babies and Toddlers
2 Children (or something like that!) and Pre-Teens
3 Teens
Then everything else alphabetically

Oh - I probably said label 4 as there is a Parenting Adults board - but doesn’t look like there is much traffic there

I think 2 subsections with younger teens 13-15 and older teens 16-19 would be a good idea.

Given the section is already underused (and that teens mature at such different rates) I'm not sure further subdivisions would help.
