Hi all
A quick heads up that, starting today, we're trialling some tech that will enable users to manage their cookie preferences.
This approach is considered best practice: giving people more control, and aligning with GDPR and the recently updated Data Protection Act.
And we have tried to make it not too annoying, but apologies in advance for any interruption to your browsing -- as ever, it's a balancing act.
Initially, we're rolling it out in our editorial sections, so you won't see it across Talk.
Here's how it should work:
- The first time you visit a Mumsnet editorial page you should see a pop up along the bottom of the screen. You can choose to accept all cookies, by clicking ‘I Agree’, or you can manage your individual preferences by clicking ‘show purposes’.
- At the bottom right hand side of the Privacy Policy page you should see a settings toggle at the bottom right of the screen which says ‘Privacy settings’. If you click on this, a pop up should appear at the bottom of the screen. Here you can manage all your individual cookie preferences.
Thanks all - please do let us know your feedback.
