How do I find out why a post was deleted?

Chouetted · 30/06/2018 13:41

I've had a post removed, and the deletion message referred to the Talk Guidelines. I can't honestly see that I broke any of them.

How do I find out which one it was?

Sheesh, I've found the answer in Google now.

If anyone else is in this situation, report the deleted post, and they'll explain.

Was it an individual post? Or was it a thread that you started? Have you found out why?

Chouetted · 30/06/2018 19:03

It was an individual post, and I'm still waiting to find out - don't really expect anything to happen till Monday tbh.

So how did you find the answer in Google?

PanPanPanPing · 30/06/2018 19:09

I don't think I can see any post of yours that has been deleted anyway Confused

But don't worry too much; I'm sure once MNHQ is in on Monday, someone will contact you.

abbsisspartacus · 30/06/2018 19:10

They should email you?

Samcro · 30/06/2018 19:13

Was it on the thread we are both on?
I vaguely remember the post, didn't report it, but assume it must have been worded in a certain way.mn hq are quite quick these days in deleting disabist post, maybe it sounded that way,
Disclaimer im just going by the thread as i can only remember. Its of the post.

Chouetted · 30/06/2018 19:15

Google turned up the following thread
www.mumsnet.com/Talk/site_stuff/3182045-Deleted-Posts-Message
which answered the question I asked about how to find out why it was deleted.

What do you want for Christmas?

Do you believe in Father Christmas?

How do you think you will evolve? What's next for the mongoose? Wings? Thumbs?

Do you have any tips that help mongoose offspring sleep? My human DS is being a bit of an idiot and refusing to practice crawling for long enough to drop off.

Wrong thread Blush

Chouetted · 30/06/2018 19:21

Yes Samcro, it was the one where I was trying, slightly hamhandedly, to make the points that you can't equate "disabled" with "wheelchair user", and that negative attitudes to wheelchair users are generally a Bad Thing.

Hi OP,

We've responded to your report now - so sorry for the delay.

Chouetted · 01/07/2018 18:02

Thanks Lorna, I'm not terribly happy with the reply but I appreciate getting one.
